Introducing: “Buy Now” for building materials
We just released an exciting new app store update for the Contractor Building Material Pricing Tool, V.1.2.2. After receiving pricing from your suppliers you can now tap the “BUY NOW” button and purchase your building materials directly within Joist. Here’s how:
- Go to the “material” bids tab and tap on the project where the supplier has responded with pricing on your list.
- Swipe to the supplier you’d like to purchase from.
- At the bottom right of the screen tap the orange “buy now” button and specify pick-up or delivery
- Input your billing information for purchase
- Tap “confirm”
- You will immediately receive a confirmation of your purchase.
What’s even more exciting is to kickoff this new feature we’re going to be offering a $100 cash back for the first 100 orders made through Joist*. That’s right, if you make an order within Joist we’ll send you a check for $100. Limited time only.

Other feature improvements
- Material list statuses. Always know if your list has been sent successfully, is being worked on, or has been filled in with pricing.
- Addition of Lowe’s USA and Menards Live pricing feeds for quick item lookup
- “My Suppliers” tab. Now you can manage all of your suppliers in one simple tab.
- Supplier contact names. Make sure your material list gets sent to your specific supplier rep for the best service possible.
